About This Class

This 90-minute vigorous flow class with Michelle Goldstein builds heat through layered sun salutations (Series A and B), crescent lunges, warrior sequences, and standing balance poses — all threaded together by a continuous Ujjayi breath. The standing sequence progresses from foundational Downward Dog and Cobra/Upward Dog transitions into Warrior One, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, Side Angle, Triangle, Half Moon, Warrior Three, and prayer twists, before moving to the floor for backbends (Locust/Bow), hip openers (Pigeon, Baddha Konasana), a shoulder-thread stretch, and a final seated or supine forward fold. Throughout, Michelle weaves in philosophical teachings drawn from the Bhagavad Gita — on self-responsibility, listening and observing over reacting, and yoga as "tolerating the consequences of being yourself" — making this as much a work-in as a workout. Side Plank and chair pose with prayer twists add core and spinal rotation work. The class closes in Savasana with grounding reflection. Suitable for practitioners who want a full-body, breath-centered flow that challenges strength and mobility while cultivating mental presence and equanimity.

    A steady, challenging flow!

I enjoyed this practice – just wished the flow continued just a liiiitttle longer. I am not strong or flexible and this was one of the most accessible practices I have tried. Nothing exotic, no pretzel twists, no impossible one leg sequences. Just a sweaty, straight-forward flow with nice variety. I would say this class is more “active” than “robust” and it’s going in my favorites. Thank you!
