About This Class
This wide-ranging Power Yoga flow with Bryan Kest opens on the floor with reclined hip openers and a strong meditative emphasis on deep, free breathing as the foundation of the entire practice. From there, the class builds through three progressively more complex sun-salutation-style flows — each adding new layers such as chair pose, triangle, crescent lunge, warrior twists, lizard low-lunge variations, and forearm balances. A creative mid-section explores one-legged standing balances (airplane/warrior III, bent-knee airplane), standing half-lotus forward fold, a tripod headstand progression, and a kneeling sequence that includes side-body lateral stretching, camel-inspired backbends, and side-plank with variations including bound foot grabs. The class closes with a supine spinal twist, a seated gratitude and mindfulness meditation, and savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly de-emphasizes ego-driven depth in favor of sensory awareness, gentleness, and a calm, quiet mind as the core deliverable of practice.

Perhaps for the first time in many years of practicing yoga I thought “f**k you, Bryan, I’m not going to do this”. But then I decided to try. And you know what? For the first time I stood on my head without elbows on the floor. I feel happy now that I tried ))) Thanks!

Nice! Nice long warmup, but eventually getting us there. This routine gave me a good feeling.
