About This Class

This energizing morning flow opens in Sukhasana with a mindfulness check-in and Ujjayi breath instruction before moving through a full warm-up on all fours — including Bird-Dog variations with knee-to-elbow core pulses and a bound quad stretch. The class then builds through multiple rounds of Surya Namaskar A and B, with careful attention to the breath-movement relationship in Chaturanga, Up Dog, and Down Dog transitions. Standing sequences layer in Warrior I, Warrior II, Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle (with arm-behind-back and floating-arm variations), Half Moon, Twisted Half Moon, Triangle, Standing Splits, and Warrior III, challenging balance, hip mobility, and spinal length. Core and arm-balance work includes side plank with the arm tucked behind the back, crow pose (with single-leg crow exploration), and a low-to-the-ground Malasana/Lolasana attempt. A floor sequence covers Virasana/Supta Virasana, Shalabhasana, spinal twists, Bridge, Happy Baby, Plow, Shoulder Stand, Paschimottanasana, and yogi sit-ups before a long Shavasana and seated closing. Throughout, the instructor consistently frames the practice as a moving meditation, emphasizing breath, mindfulness, and non-ego-driven exploration.

More strength than flow. Needs a longer warmup.

There is a lightness to this practice that softens the physical exertion. A beautiful start to the day. Thank you !
