About This Class
Bryan Kest's "Long, Slow & Deep XL" is an expansive, floor-heavy practice that opens with an extended breathwork and mindfulness foundation before moving through a deliberate warm-up flow of downward dog, cobra, balancing sequences, and hip openers. The class then transitions fully into yin-style long holds—wide-legged forward folds, single-leg forward fends with progressive hand-to-toe variations, supine hamstring and hip stretches (including figure-four and toe-to-ear hip openers), spinal twists, plow, shoulder stand, and seated twists—culminating in a climactic 10-minute seated forward fold (paschimottanasana). Throughout, Bryan relentlessly coaches nasal deep breathing as the vehicle for meditation, equanimity, and physical release, framing each pose as an opportunity to dissolve stored tension rather than achieve a shape. Counter poses—fish, supine twists, and knees-to-chest—bridge the long holds before a final savasana. The class is explicitly accessible to all bodies and explicitly non-competitive, making it ideal for anyone seeking deep connective-tissue release, mental stillness, and mobility work for the hips, hamstrings, spine, and shoulders.

What a wonderful class! Thanks Bryan! I had surgery a week ago, and this is exactly what I needed right now!

Today was my 3rd/4th time doing this and besides loving the LSD XL vibes, I lived in Winterhude/Uhlenhorst Hamburg 2001-2004 and it makes me happy wondering just how much the (primarily if not all) ladies understood of Bryan’s words & wit! I was a Business Englisch Trainer and musician and this actually seemed, to my estimation, like a great crew who really locked in on Bryan, and why not? As loveable as our Yogi is <3 his language of sensation and wellness is UNIVERSAL - thank you Sinsei! Vielen Lieben Dank nach HH hin, Freunde der Nacht! Matthew in Amityville, Long Island
