About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a full-bodied, lunchtime vinyasa flow built around one non-negotiable principle: deep, continuous nasal breathing as the anchor for a quiet mind. After grounding in child's pose, students move through a methodical dress rehearsal of six foundational movements — down dog, cobra, plank, and forward fold — before threading them into a flowing sequence. The class then layers in three-legged dog, warrior-adjacent standing balances, airplane pose, side-plank variations, low-lunge twists, pigeon-prep hip openers, camel, seated bound-angle, boat pose with oblique rotations, plow, and supported shoulder stand — always returning to breath awareness. Bryan consistently invites students to modify, skip, or personalize every suggestion, framing yoga as a sensuous act of self-care rather than a performance. The tone is candid, humorous, and philosophically rich, challenging students to trade vanity and competition for wisdom and sensitivity. The class is physically demanding enough to become cardiovascular while remaining rooted in a healing, non-damaging ethos.

Classic B.K. — wonderful guidance and insight, and a whole lot of opportunity to stay calm in the midst of challenge. Plenty of shoulder work, standing balance, and affection for the toes, and some good old fashioned twisting, lengthening and relaxioning.

No need to be sorry… amazing class! Appreciated the leg balancing series toward the beginning of the class. Working on balancing was easier when you’re not so tired from doing other poses. Enjoyed all of the strength, twists and cardio too. One of my favorites!
