About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a long-form, vigorous Power Yoga flow that systematically builds intensity through three distinct flow sequences, each adding new movements while keeping the practice deeply personal and breath-focused. The class opens in Child's Pose and Down Dog before moving into a foundational Sun Salutation-style flow with Cobra, Plank, and forward folds. Subsequent rounds introduce Warrior/Crescent Lunge, twisting lunges with forearms to the floor, standing side stretches, triangle-adjacent poses, Warrior II variations, bound side-angle variations, runner's lunge, and seated splits exploration. Upper-body strengthening is balanced by targeted stretching: standing forward folds with twists, wide-legged standing poses, bridge pose, supine hip openers, navasana-style core work, plow/shoulder stand, and supine spinal twists. Throughout, Bryan consistently deprioritizes depth and flexibility in favor of sensory awareness, personal calibration, and uninterrupted deep nasal breathing. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and an extended Savasana. Modifications (knee down, skipping push-ups, exiting early) are offered throughout, and the instructor explicitly frames the practice as maintenance, healing, and mindfulness rather than performance.

Oooooh yeeeeaaahh. That was a sweaty, deep, sweet yoga session right there. It’s going down as one of my favorites. Love these classic classes!

One of my Bryan favorites! I always modify pushups, side planks and long down dog holds but even with modifications this is a long, strong, sweaty class – amazing! Don’t be alarmed by the length: after floor stretches, bridge pose, short abs and inversion, the Gratitude Meditation starts at the 1hr 33 minute mark. Enjoy!
