Restorative Yoga

As the name suggests, this style of yoga “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function. This helps the body rest, heal, and restore balance. By allowing time for longer postures or poses, and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response. Enjoy the calming and stress-reducing effect of this restorative yoga series. Designed to help you manage the highs, take the edge off, or just end the day in the best possible way.

This style is similar to yin yet more focused on restoring certain areas and ranges of motion kind of like therapy for places and parts of our body. That said these classes are also stress busters and very healing. This style could be practiced daily or interspersed within your normal wellness classes and programs.
