About This Class
This Yoga Nidra session invites practitioners to lie still on their backs and surrender to guided rest. Eric opens with a sankalpa-style intention — "My breath grounds me into complete ease" — before leading a countdown breath exercise to deepen relaxation. A systematic body scan moves awareness through the hands, arms, shoulders, forehead, jaw, throat, chest, belly, hips, and legs, cultivating a sense of warmth and heaviness throughout. The heart of the practice centers on observing the quiet pauses between breaths and using the breath to soften tight or blocked areas in the body. A second affirmation — "I am no longer the doer; I am awareness resting into being" — anchors the session in a state of effortless presence. The class closes with a gentle count-up from one to five and slow movement of fingers and toes, returning practitioners to wakefulness feeling relaxed and refreshed. Ideal for stress relief, anxiety, poor sleep, low energy, or anyone needing a genuine mental reset.

This seems like a handy class to keep in my hip pocket for use to stop and practice around 1-2 pm when my energy is low and I’ve hit a wall in my workday (stress, pressure, deadlines, etc.). I will try that. Thank you!

Wow! That was really amazing, everybody! I usually do the more physically active classes, but that was really cosmic. I’m going to return to this one. Thank you, Eric and everyone!
