About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a richly layered 72-minute class that lives up to its "Yin & Yang Simultaneously" title by weaving strength and length, effort and ease, into every moment. The class opens in Child's Pose and Downward Dog before building through a multi-round sun-salutation-style flow featuring Cobra, Plank, Chaturanga, Crescent Lunge, Warrior (Utkatasana/Chair, Uttanasana, Ardha Uttanasana), and both sides of a standing balance/Warrior III-adjacent pose. The standing sequence then expands into Hero Pose, Extended Side Angle (with block options), Triangle, and a twisting low-lunge variation with a quad stretch. A wide-legged standing forward fold with lateral variations provides active recovery. The class winds down through a reclined Hero variation, Plow Pose, Shoulder Stand, Fish Pose, and finally a full Savasana. Throughout, Bryan frames yoga not as movement but as piercing focus on the breath — a mindfulness anchor that turns physical practice into something healing and sensuous. He consistently encourages self-honoring, modification, and gentleness over intensity, making the class equally accessible to experienced practitioners and curious newcomers.
