About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a rich, 79-minute power flow that is simultaneously accessible and thorough. The class opens in Child's Pose with an extended emphasis on deep, free breathing as the foundation of all yoga. A progressive warm-up builds through Downward Dog, Plank, Dolphin, and Cobra variations before moving into a standing sequence that includes Warrior-inspired balances, one-legged standing splits, Crescent Lunge, Warrior III bent-knee balancing, standing twists, and a figure-four chair pose. Backbody strengthening is developed through repeated Locust (Superman) variations—arms forward, interlaced, and in Bow—on the belly. The second half transitions to the floor for deep, long-held stretches: seated forward folds, a deep groin/hip opener (Marichyasana-style with the knee bent back), Half Lotus forward folds, supine leg lifts with core work, a Tizalasana (figure-four hip stretch sequence), a lateral leg-opening stretch, Pigeon-style supine hip stretches, and spinal twists. The class closes with a gratitude meditation and Savasana. Bryan consistently frames the practice around calming the mind, deep nasal breathing, self-awareness, and meeting your personal edge rather than forcing—making it feel grounding and restorative even at a dynamic pace.

Wonderful way to start the New Year, full of gratitude for all of you and this amazing gift of Yoga! Lovely new offering as I was definitely challenged, especially during the leg balancing sequence… so much surrender!
