About This Class

Bryan Kest leads an expansive 100-minute flow class built on the philosophy that gentleness, moderation, and a quiet mind are the true foundations of yoga and wellness. The class opens supine with deep breathing and spinal twists, moves through bridge pose and shoulder stand into plow, then warms up with multiple rounds of Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) featuring cobra and down dog. An extended five-minute downward-facing dog sequence explores one-handed variations, dolphin pose, and shoulder stretches, followed by side plank transitions. The standing sequence visits warrior/hero pose, twisting lunges, triangle, extended side angle, and progressive hip-opening splits progressions on both sides, interspersed with locust and bow pose for back-body strengthening. The class closes with seated pigeon-style hip openers (figure-four and fire-log variations), supine spinal twists, and a guided meditation of gratitude before a long savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly frames every pose as personal and adjustable, encouraging students to find their own "sweet spot" rather than chase depth or aesthetics. The result is a balanced, whole-body practice that equally emphasizes strength, length, and mental stillness.
