About This Class

This class opens in child's pose and builds steadily through a six-movement sun-salutation-style flow — downward dog, forward fold, standing, cobra, and back — repeated several times to warm the spine and hamstrings. From there, Bryan layers in progressively deeper standing and balancing shapes: one-armed down dog, twisted low lunge, side plank variations, twisting triangle, extended triangle with a bind, and bird of paradise on both sides. A wide-legged standing section explores side-angle pose and a deep wrapasana bind leading into a second bird-of-paradise balance. The floor-based closing includes reclined butterfly/saddle (supta virasana style), seated forward fold with half-lotus option, and supine spinal twists, finishing in savasana. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose as "finding the right degree" rather than maximum effort, consistently cueing deep, fluid breath as the primary tool for calming the nervous system and quieting the mind. The overall arc suits practitioners looking to build flexibility and strength simultaneously while cultivating present-moment awareness.

Wonderful flow this morning. Loved the twisting frog, even though you left me there:) Standing to bird of paradise is still a work in progress. Invite it all with love and acceptance …Yoga on and off the mat! Much gratitude as always !

Always enjoy the incredible core strengthening of bird of paradise! Great class with so many lovely twists!

A tougher class than you’d expect with lots of arm and core work. Boooo to the fact that it ended too early in savasana but that’s a detail challenging non attachment.
