About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this juicy, full-body flow that builds steadily from child's pose and downward dog through progressively layered sun salutation sequences — adding chair pose (Utkatasana), crescent lunge, and eventually crow/tripod balancing — before moving into standing balance work with wrapped arm binds, hand-to-big-toe extensions, and wide-leg standing forward folds. The floor section visits camel pose (Ustrasana), seated twists, double pigeon (fire log) variations, supine knee-to-chest twists, and a rolling spinal massage. Throughout, Bryan weaves a consistent philosophical thread: breath as the anchor through life's vicissitudes, sensation over aesthetics, self-care over ego-driven progress. The class closes with an extended seated gratitude meditation and a full savasana. Props are not required, and modifications are actively offered at every stage — knees down in plank, tripod headstand as a crow alternative, tucked toes in camel. The overall tone is candid, warm, and deeply anti-performative, making it equally suited to seasoned practitioners and those simply needing a mindful reset.

Today’s warmup sequences were especially nice! Loved the crane and the camel and all of the sweet stretches! So thankful for so much!

Looked up “vicissitudes” after 3.5 years practicing with Bryan and was not disappointed – circumstances, mostly unwelcome in life… love all who read this note and have the courage to continue ❤️???????????
