About This Class
This class opens with an extended settling period in Child's Pose before building through a carefully layered warm-up series of six movements — Down Dog, Forward Fold, Cobra, and Plank — repeated multiple times until the flow becomes fluid and meditative. From there, Bryan introduces standing balance work (Warrior, Runner's Lunge, Twisting Lunge, Twisting Triangle, Standing Frog/Goddess), hip-opening sequences, side plank variations, and back-bending (Camel). The floor sequence includes deep hip openers (double-pigeon/fire log style), shoulder stretches with hand clasping, seated neck stretches, spinal twists, shoulder stand (Sarvangasana), a plow variation, and core work before settling into Savasana. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose as an act of self-care rather than achievement, constantly returning attention to a deep, smooth nasal breath as the measure of appropriate effort. The class is physically demanding — including multiple push-up sequences and sustained holds — but is consistently offered with modifications and a strong "do what you can" ethos rooted in healing rather than performance.

Perfect way to get deep into yoga after a short break. Strong upper body with some deep hip enlivenment. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Not too many balancing poses either but just enough to keep us honest.
