About This Class

This class opens supine with knee-hugging, spinal twists, and shoulder stand (Sarvangasana) before moving into a long five-minute down dog broken into one-armed and forearm variations. From there, Bryan guides a full-body standing flow that cycles through cobra, plank, crescent lunge, hero pose, triangle, half-moon variations, deep hip-opening low lunges, crow/elbow balance, and single-leg balancing sequences—repeated on both sides. A series of deep squat poses with arm balances (elbow balance/tripod) and bound twists add playful challenge. The final act shifts to seated forward folds, a reclined spinal twist, a rocking massage up to seated, and an extended gratitude meditation that transitions into Savasana. Throughout, Bryan's central teaching is breath freedom and calmness as the true boundary of every pose—urging practitioners to modify rather than strain, and framing the practice as self-care rather than self-improvement. Props are not formally required, though a block is mentioned as an option for certain standing poses.

A great practice for days when you just can’t “jump right in”. Some ahhhhh stretches to start but then it really takes off into a long, strong sequence. The 5-minute down dog is not for me and I had to modify a couple of other poses but it still made for a great hour and a half! It’s been added to my Favorites – thank you Bryan!
