About This Class

This expansive Sunday flow with Bryan Kest begins with an intentionally slow, Yin-inspired floor sequence—supine twists, bridge, shoulder stand, plow, and wide-legged forward folds—before building into a sustained old-school Vinyasa flow. The standing sequence layers crescent lunge, Warrior One, Warrior Two, core twists, extended side angle, triangle, and bound variations, with full Vinyasas (plank, cobra, down dog) threaded between nearly every pose. Deep hip-opening progressions—including lizard, pigeon-style hip openers, and Eka Pada Sirsasana (leg-behind-the-head)—target the hips, hamstrings, and glutes after the body is thoroughly warmed. Backbends escalate from baby cobra through bridge to optional full wheel. The class closes with supine twists, a rocking spinal massage, a seated gratitude meditation, and a long Savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes breath awareness as the primary tool for relaxation and mindfulness, explicitly framing depth of sensation—not range of motion—as the measure of success. Modifications and early exits are consistently encouraged.

“Damn it, Bryan!” – Me, halfway through this class I was hoping the Yin beginning would last about half the class, but this very quickly transitions into a relentless vinyasa cardio flow, warrior after warrior after warrior.

Stellar class Bryan and Melissa! Everything felt so good and just right for me today. I loved the pace of this class, with enough time in each pose to really feel and stretch into it and breath and feel. Excellent balance of strength, mobility and gentle pauses. Thank you.
