About This Class

This class opens with a grounding child's pose and deep breathing focus before moving through progressive warm-up sequences in downward dog, cobra, crescent lunge, and standing balance variations including one-legged airplane and twisting standing poses. The centerpiece is Bryan's "wall sequence" — five movements performed for one minute each across five rounds: an L-shaped handstand (feet halfway up the wall), a standing forward-fold shoulder stretch against the wall, a wall sit (chair pose against the wall) that targets the quadriceps, a standing backbend with optional hands on the wall, and a standing forward fold with arms interlaced or hands under feet. The sequence systematically works the upper body, core, and lower body while using breath control and calm as the primary practice tool. A final floor-based cool-down includes supine figure-four hip openers, spinal twists, and an extended savasana with a guided gratitude and mindfulness meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames the entire practice around quieting the mind, finding personal "sweet spots" rather than pushing extremes, and using physical challenge as a vehicle for cultivating calmness and presence.
