About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this uniquely structured vigorous flow built around a five-pose "wall sequence" cycled five times: an L-shaped half-handstand with heels on the wall, a standing forward-lean shoulder stretch with hands high on the wall, a wall sit, a supported backbend, and a forward fold with hands clasped behind the back. Each pose is held for approximately one minute with brief transitions between them, creating cumulative intensity across all five rounds. The class opens with child's pose breathwork and a gentle Sun Salutation warm-up — including cobra, plank, and down dog — to prepare the upper body. The wall sequence systematically targets the shoulders, upper back, quads, hamstrings, and spine through a balance of inversions, strength holds, and deep stretching. The cool-down includes a butterfly/baddha konasana forward fold, core work (single-leg lifts), plow pose, shoulder stand, supine twists, and savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes deep nasal breathing, moderation over extremity, and the meditative value of staying calm under physical challenge. Props beyond a wall are not required, and modifications (exiting early, knee-down options) are consistently offered.

I love using the wall as a prop. My arms will feel this tomorrow for sure.
