About This Class

This expansive class opens in Child's Pose and builds steadily through multiple rounds of a six-movement warm-up series — Down Dog, standing forward fold, squat/chair pose, plank, Cobra, and back to Down Dog — layered with lunges, Warriors, Warrior III-style balancing, twisting triangle, side plank, and Camel. The sequence visits both sides thoroughly, incorporating standing side bends, seated and standing forward folds with shoulder opening, locust-like Superman lifts, Chaturanga push-ups, and a supported inversion (Shoulderstand/legs-up). Core work features scissor-leg and boat-style abdominal holds. The floor cool-down addresses the hips with happy-baby and wide-leg variations, a supine twist, and final Savasana. Throughout, Bryan Kest frames every movement as a personal exploration — never a contest — encouraging students to modify freely, rest when needed, and maintain meditative breath awareness. The class closes with a 10-minute seated gratitude meditation designed to quiet the mind and cultivate a positive mental state. Suitable for a wide range of practitioners willing to self-regulate intensity.
