About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a vigorous, breath-centered flow that opens with Child's Pose and Downward Facing Dog before moving through multiple rounds of sun-salutation-style sequences — cobra, plank lowering, and down-dog — building significant upper-body and core strength. The standing section layers Crescent Lunge, Hero Pose (Warrior II variant), Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle, Triangle, and a unique "Supreme Balancing" / airplane balance with one hand behind the back, demanding coordination, core stability, and lower-body power. A Dolphin Pose forearm-plank variation adds further shoulder and core work. Floor sequences include wide-legged forward folds, straddle-style hip openers with one knee bent back (targeting hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, groin, and ankles), a figure-four / ankle-to-knee seated stretch for the outer hips and glutes, and supine twists to close. The class ends with a seated gratitude meditation and Savasana, inviting a quiet mind and a natural breath. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes calm, fluid breathing as the non-negotiable foundation, encourages modification at any moment, and frames the practice as training for lifelong functional movement and mental equanimity.

Appreciated the core focus, the challenges, and the reminder to be ginger with ourselves–something I will take with me as I approach a hectic holiday season. Final Gratitude Meditation was much needed. Love to you both 🙂

How did this 60 min of yoga fly by soooo quickly? Well I’ll tell you why. You helped me keep my mind in the moment. Not thinking about anything else but concentrating on my breathing. Doing the best I can and leaving the rest behind. During your gratitude meditation you are always included, as I am eternally grateful for your selfless giving of your gift

Changing it up these days….Early start on warming the arms. But nothing ignored as the legs and core received lots of attention too. Always full of thanks for this practice as it shows up in so many different ways:)
