About This Class

This class opens in child's pose with an extended invitation to establish deep, fluid breathing as the foundation of practice — framed explicitly as the first step of meditation and the key to a quiet mind. From there, Bryan leads a progressive flow that begins in first gear and builds through down dog, baby arm balances (one-handed side plank variations), cobra, and plank, before moving into a standing sequence featuring crescent lunge, forward folds, and a balancing lunge series. The sequence emphasizes pairing breath with movement — what Bryan calls a "marriage ceremony" — and revisits themes across different poses (hip-opening lunge, shoulder-stretching interlaced-finger fold, and twisting squat). The floor-based closing includes seated wide-leg forward folds with lateral walks, supine spinal twists, a rocking massage on the spine, and a seated compassion meditation before final Savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently cues softness in the jaw and neck, freedom in the breath, and personal autonomy in depth — discouraging comparison and encouraging students to tune inward rather than follow blindly. The class suits those seeking to release hip tightness, back tension, and shoulder holding, while simultaneously building functional strength, balance, and mindful presence.

love this one. They never taught us to listen to ourselves in school ” .That way, we can be manipulated by our instructors. It takes a certain kind of human to stand alone and pay attention to facts and truth instead of someone else’s agenda. woot woot , Bryan . empowering!!!
