About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this long-format Sunday morning power yoga flow that begins supine and gradually builds through inversions, standing one-legged balances, arm balances, core sequences, camel variations, and deep floor stretches before closing with a seated gratitude meditation and Savasana. A defining throughline is the "sweet spot" philosophy: students are continually coached to calibrate effort by sensation rather than depth, to keep the breath smooth and free as the primary barometer of appropriate intensity, and to treat the practice as a moving meditation. The class spends the bulk of its time in a self-contained "spot yoga" sequence — shoulder stand, plow, wide-leg forward fold, single-leg forward folds, standing balance flows (airplane, twisted standing balance, figure-four squat), Bakasana (crow/elbow balance), camel variations, and an extended core series — all without leaving one place on the mat. A sun-salutation flow anchors the transitions, and the session closes with supine hip stretches, spinal twists, and a guided gratitude meditation into Savasana. Suitable for practitioners who want a substantial, mindful full-body practice that challenges strength and balance while deliberately de-emphasizing aggression and ego-driven depth.
