About This Class
In "Sweet Ease," Bryan Kest leads a 26-minute flexibility-focused flow designed to cultivate suppleness — not extreme range of motion, but a comfortable, tension-free existence in your own body. Starting in Child's Pose with an emphasis on deep, smooth breathing as the foundation of the practice, the class moves through Down Dog, a standing forward fold with side-body stretches and a forward fold with interlaced hands, before transitioning to the floor for Cobra repetitions, a seated Hero-style pose, and an extensive lower-body sequence. The heart of the class features double-sided deep hip openers (a lizard-style reclined lunge with the back knee spread wide), hamstring stretches, half-lotus and fire-log seated forward folds, and cow-face-style shoulder stretches with neck lateral flexion. The sequence closes with supine spinal twists on both sides and a final full-body squeeze before a recommended five-minute Savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently cues gentleness over depth, names the ego as the enemy of wellness, and frames the goal as the dissolution of tension rather than the performance of flexibility. The pace is measured and introspective, making this class ideal for anyone feeling tight, stiff, or in need of a mindful reset.
