About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a richly varied 100-minute dynamic flow framed around one non-negotiable priority: deep, free, nasal breathing throughout every transition and pose. The class opens on the back with supine twists, bridge variations (including heel-lifted bridge and shoulder stand / Sarvangasana), plow pose (Halasana), and a wide-legged seated forward fold before moving through several rounds of a classical sun-salutation-style vinyasa—Down Dog, standing forward fold, cobra, plank, and back again. The standing sequence builds progressively through crescent lunge, a core-twisting lunge, Warrior Two / Hero pose, triangle pose, extended side angle, and Warrior One. The class then moves into more advanced territory: one-legged Down Dog variations, flipped-dog / wild thing, crow-adjacent knee-to-tricep balances, Bird of Paradise (bound, lifted), and Plantasana. A second long hip-opening section features deep low-lunge pigeon-style holds. The floor closing includes bound-angle forward fold, seated balance with big-toe holds, an archer bow pose, Navasana-adjacent core work, and a final spinal roll into supine twists before a guided gratitude meditation and Savasana. Bryan consistently invites students to modify, exit poses early, or skip entirely, emphasizing that yoga should conform to the practitioner, not the other way around. The overall tone blends physical challenge with philosophical depth, weaving in themes of moderation, sensuality, mindfulness, and gratitude.
