About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a full 90-minute dynamic flow built around the philosophy that yoga is a deeply personal, breath-driven practice rather than a performance of strength or flexibility. The class opens in Child's Pose with an extended focus on deep nasal breathing before moving into Down Dog and a series of progressive sun-salutation flows (cobra, plank, forward fold, crescent lunge, warrior) that are layered in complexity over several rounds. From there the class moves into standing and kneeling hip openers with arm-wraps and clasped-hand binds, twisting lunges, standing wide-leg poses, hero pose with lateral stretches, shoulder-opening sequences with hands clasped behind the back, floor-based core work (single-leg lowers, seated forward folds in a fire-log-adjacent leg position), shoulderstand, a supine spinal twist series, and a seated forward fold. The practice closes with a guided compassion meditation and a full Savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently emphasises breath quality, self-regulation, humility, and backing off when something doesn't feel right — framing the physical practice as a vehicle for mental quietude and stress reduction rather than an end in itself.

Tried this for the 1st time as part of the September yoga challenge. Not as well rounded of a class I typically choose.
