About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this expansive 94-minute dynamic flow with an unmistakable guiding principle: breath and sensation over achievement. The class opens in child's pose and builds methodically through three warm-up sequences — each adding complexity — incorporating down dog, cobra, plank, crescent lunge, low lunge twists, and forearm-inside-leg hip openers. A sustained standing balancing series follows, featuring one-legged balance variations, airplane pose, figure-four squats (malasana-style), and extended hand-to-big-toe pose, all woven together with transitions back through sun-salutation-style flows. Three-legged dog with bound arm variations appears as both a strength and shoulder-mobility challenge. The floor sequence includes bow pose, shoulderstand, plow, and supine core work before closing with seated forward folds in double pigeon and half-pigeon-adjacent shapes, supine twists, and a long savasana with guided breath-meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as stress reduction and self-care rather than performance, explicitly discouraging strain, encouraging modification, and weaving mindfulness, self-acceptance, and breath-focus commentary into every pose. Best suited for practitioners comfortable with a continuous flow who want a thorough, grounding full-body experience that also trains mental calm.

I loved the gradual buildup at the start and the gradual warm-down at the end. That makes it much easier to get into strenuous parts in the middle, after you have time to warm up. Nice one!
