About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a full-hour flow class built on the foundation of deep, fluid, unobstructed breathing. The class opens in child's pose before moving through repeated rounds of a six-movement sun-salutation arc (down dog, standing fold, plank, lowering, cobra, down dog) that progressively warm the entire body. From there, a rich lunge sequence unfolds — incorporating twisted low lunges, crescent lunge, warrior two, balancing lunge, and lizard-style hip openers with elbow drops — interspersed with one-legged balance work including standing splits and a Bikram-inspired standing-leg-extension pose. The second half transitions to the floor for a wide-legged forward fold, supine twists, and a knees-to-chest cool-down, closing with a seated gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice around gentleness over ambition, breath over ego, and conscious self-care, consistently offering modifications (back knee down, fists instead of palms, skipping poses entirely). Props such as blocks are mentioned for the elbow-drop lunge. The overall tone is warmly philosophical, physically substantial, and deeply introspective.
