About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this expansive, nearly two-hour dynamic flow class with his signature no-rules, deeply compassionate philosophy. The class opens in a seated or reclined position to establish nasal breathing, deep full-lung breath, and a smooth, unobstructed exhale — tools that thread through every subsequent movement. Warm-ups progress methodically: tabletop balancing, easy cobra, and downward facing dog give way to increasingly complex sun-salutation-style flows that incorporate chair-pose squats, crescent lunges, low-lunge twists, forearm-to-ground hip openers, and side-angle variations. Standing balance sequences feature warrior-style lunges, airplane pose, standing leg lifts (bent and straight), and single-leg balance work. Floor work includes locust-style back-strengthening, bow pose, shoulderstand, plow, supine spinal twists, and a bound-angle forward fold. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and extended savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently invites modification — dropping a knee, using a block, or simply resting — and frames the practice around working with sensation rather than achieving a shape. The mental/mindfulness layer is as prominent as the physical: quieting the mind, staying calm under challenge, and developing gratitude are treated as the core work of the class.
