About This Class

This 70-minute gentle, floor-based class blends Yin-style long holds (approximately two minutes each) with a continuous invitation to anchor attention on deep, full-capacity breathing. Beginning in child's pose and a brief downward facing dog, the class quickly settles onto the floor for a wide-legged forward fold that travels to each side, followed by a supine sequence using a strap to explore hamstring length, open hip rotations, reclining pigeon (figure-four), spinal twists, shoulder stand, plow, and gentle supine twists as counter poses. The instructor frames every pose around "riding the periphery" — finding a subtle, sweet boundary rather than pushing to extremes — and repeatedly emphasizes stillness over fidgeting, gentleness over force, and breath as the primary focus. The class closes with a seated compassion (metta) meditation and an extended savasana. Props (a strap or belt) are offered as options throughout the supine sequence. The overall tone is deeply introspective, unhurried, and grounding, suited to anyone seeking hip and hamstring release, spinal decompression, stress relief, or a moving meditation experience.

I prefer other LSD classes. Too many disturbing sounds. But happy that my hips got cooked.

Great class! The audio wouldn’t let me escape the thought that Bryan was broadcasting from “Joes Garage”.

I’m on a mission to do all the yin classes. this was so delicious and I plan to revisit many times. I’m excited to hear there are 90 min and 3 hour yin classes ahead in my future…. I will emerge from the entire series in a relaxed, happy, limp noodle like puddle.

Just what was needed today! Feeling fragile knees today, I was guided by the wisdom of doing a yin class and not letting the vanity run me into a typical active flow class! Your words are getting thru Bryan…Thank you!
