About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a 69-minute dynamic flow class that weaves together breath-focused movement, heat-building sequences, and deep stretching. The class opens in child's pose with an emphasis on deep, fluid breathing as the foundation of the practice, then progresses through downward dog, cat-cow variations, cobra, plank, and crescent lunges. A signature "series of 10" lunge repetitions ramps up heat and stimulates the cardiovascular system. Balancing sequences — including airplane pose, bent-knee balancing, and a progression toward standing splits — challenge both physical and mental steadiness. Hip-opening low lunge work, quadriceps stretches, and forward folds over extended legs prepare the body for vertical split exploration. Floor work includes double pigeon (fire log), supine twists, and a core boat-pose variation. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and a long savasana, with Bryan guiding students to quiet the mind and cultivate thankfulness. Throughout, Bryan consistently frames the poses as tools — not goals — and encourages students to work to their own personal threshold, making this class accessible across a range of experience levels.
