About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a full-length dynamic flow class that opens with several minutes of stillness in child's pose, establishing nasal breathing and mental focus before a single movement is made. The physical practice builds progressively from downward-facing dog and cobra warm-ups into flowing sun-salutation sequences, then layers in standing split-style leg lifts, warrior-based lunges with twists, triangle pose, and extended one-legged balancing sequences. The mid-section digs deep into the hips and groin with pigeon-style hip openers and lizard pose variations on both sides, followed by quad stretches in low lunge. The floor-based closing includes bow pose, a final cobra, table pose, supine leg lifts with core rotation, shoulderstand, and bilateral spinal twists — finishing in savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly invites students to back off, skip poses that don't suit them (explicitly mentioning recent wrist surgery as a reason to opt out), and resist comparison or competition. The class is as much a meditation on equanimity and mindfulness as it is a comprehensive full-body workout targeting strength, mobility, balance, and flexibility.

that was heavenly. All my muscles and joints are now loose and limberly pliable as a rubber chicken! (in a very good way of course)
