About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this wide-ranging flow class with a consistent emphasis on breath awareness, self-moderation, and tuning inward rather than chasing physical extremes. The class opens in child's pose with a focus on deep, smooth breathing before moving through a warm-up sequence of down dog, forward folds, plank, cobra, and back to down dog — repeated several times to build heat gradually. Standing balancing sequences include airplane pose, bent-knee balance, and balancing lunge, all held with an invitation to prioritize calmness over precision. Hip flexor and hamstring work is woven through low lunge, crescent lunge, twisted lunge (parivrtta), and a deep pigeon-style hip opener on the floor. The seated section includes a wide-legged forward fold, toe balance, and a twisted supine pose before a final savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly coaches students to back off, modify, and treat the practice as a personal journey — making this class accessible to a broad range of levels while still offering genuine challenge for those who want it.
