About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this expansive flow class through a deliberate, breath-first philosophy before introducing movement. The class builds methodically: nasal deep breathing and stillness open the session, followed by multiple rounds of a six-movement warm-up series (Downward Dog → Forward Fold → standing reach → Plank → Cobra → Down Dog), which are layered into increasingly fluid 21-movement sequences including Warrior I, Warrior II, Triangle, Extended Side Angle, Twisting Triangle, Lunges, and hip-opening low-lunge variations. Balancing sequences on one leg and knee-to-elbow core movements (Uddiyasana) challenge stability and upper-body endurance. The floor sequence features Camel (Ustrasana), supine leg lifts with core twists, Plow-style shoulder stand (Halasana/Sarvangasana), Crotchasana/Happy Baby variations, and a supported bridge. The class closes with a seated five-minute gratitude meditation and a brief Savasana. Throughout, Bryan constantly returns to the primacy of calm, free breathing over depth or acquisition of poses, framing the physical practice as preparation for mental equanimity and mindfulness.

Warm up side plank, extra cardio lunges, overall moderate to challenging class.

Very fulfilling practice! After Bryan’s traditional long down-dog and sink-your-butt-to-the-floor start, the pace kicks up and the flow is strong, sweaty and satisfying. Gratitude meditation starts at the 1hr 23min mark. Thank you!
