About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this expansive flow session with his signature philosophy of non-competition, moderation, and deep body awareness. The class opens in Child's Pose with an extended introduction to nasal, deep, and smooth breathing as the foundation of the practice. Movement builds gradually through Downward Facing Dog, tabletop balancing, Cobra, Plank, and a foundational six-movement flow that is rehearsed and then refined across multiple rounds — progressively integrating Crescent Lunge, Runner's Lunge, and standing balance poses like Warrior Three variations. Hip-opening sequences feature deep low-lunge work with the elbow on the floor, Splits preparation with hamstring and quad focus, and single-leg standing balance with extended limbs (Urdhva Prasarita Eka Pada Asana). Prone strengthening includes Locust-style holds and Bow Pose. The practice moves through Plow (Halasana) and Shoulder Stand inversion work, followed by supine twists, a Happy Baby / straddle stretch, and core work. The class closes with a guided Gratitude Meditation in seated position and a long Shavasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly emphasizes backing off when needed, listening to the body, and cultivating equanimity — framing the breath and calm nervous system response as the true yoga beneath the physical shapes.
