About This Class

This 31-minute dynamic flow with Dan Ward lives up to its name, "Options," by weaving a constant thread of personal choice and modification through every moment of the practice. Opening with a supported standing forward fold using a block or chair, the class moves through Down Dog, Child's Pose, and Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose) for deep hip and outer glute release before building into a rhythmic Chaturanga-Cobra vinyasa sequence. Standing work includes Half Chair (Figure-Four balance), Wide-Legged Forward Fold, Trikonasana (Triangle Pose), and Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose), all framed with cues for spaciousness in the low back and proper hip alignment. A grounded Goddess squat sequence with eagle-arm variations flows into Pyramid Pose, twisting triangle, and a backbending runner's lunge with quad stretch. Floor work covers Sphinx, Cobra (including a bent-knee Bow option), Janu Sirsasana, Paschimottanasana, and supine twists before settling into Savasana. Ujjayi Pranayama (victorious breath) is introduced early and sustained throughout. The tone is warm and philosophical — the instructor consistently frames yoga as personal, non-competitive, and moment-to-moment, making this ideal for practitioners who want a meaningful flow that meets them exactly where they are.

Lots of really nice standing poses. Little on the floor. Slow motion everything and a lot of “ahhhhs”. Nice short practice. Thank you Dan!
