About This Class

This 31-minute dynamic flow strips yoga back to its essentials, guiding students through a carefully sequenced progression that prioritizes movement quality over complexity. Starting on the floor with child's pose, cat-cow, and bird-dog variations, the class builds through plank, downward facing dog, and a unique "walking" vinyasa that slowly walks hands forward and back to cultivate body awareness and spinal length. Standing work introduces crescent pose, warrior two, eagle arms, reverse warrior, a modified side angle with a bicep-curl forearm variation, triangle, half moon, and standing splits — all framed with the mantra of paying attention to transitions, not just end shapes. Hamstring and hip work closes the standing sequence with half splits and pigeon pose on both sides before a restful Supta Baddha Konasana savasana. Optional blocks are encouraged throughout, and the instructor offers accessible modifications (fingertips, elevated heels, supine pigeon) to make the class inclusive. The overall tone is calm, methodical, and internally focused, inviting students to sense rather than perform.
