About This Class
This class opens with a grounded floor sequence using a block between the thighs to awaken the inner thighs, pelvic floor, and hip flexors, progressing through seated-crunch variations and supine leg-lowering work that challenges core stability without straining the low back. The practice then rises through Downward Facing Dog and Plank into a series of runner's lunges and hip-opening variations before flowing through multiple rounds of sun-salutation-style vinyasas with Chaturanga, Cobra or Upward Dog, and Down Dog. Standing work features Crescent Pose with interlaced-hands chest openers and a preparatory handstand-balance drill — walking the hands forward from a standing split and drawing the lifted foot toward lift-off using pure core engagement. Backbody strengthening comes through Locust Pose, Sphinx, and forearm plank transitions. Shoulder mobility is addressed in Vajrasana with Eagle-arm variations and Dolphin Pose, including single-leg lifts as inversion prep. The class closes with Bridge Pose and a generous Savasana, maintaining a calm, purposeful tone throughout — the instructor repeatedly cues "no rush" and steady Ujjayi breathing, making this a grounding yet energizing flow suitable for practitioners who want to build functional strength and mobility without urgency.
