About This Class

This 60-minute vigorous flow class, framed around the interplay between movement and stillness, uses conscious breath (ujjayi-style nasal breathing with throat friction) as its through-line from the opening child's pose all the way to Savasana. The practice builds progressively through four distinct flow sequences: a moon-salutation-inspired lunge series with standing splits; a chair-pose-driven Sun Salutation flow; a dynamic warrior sequence incorporating warrior one, warrior two, reverse warrior, extended side angle, and crow pose; and a challenging standing balance flow linking reverse triangle, full triangle, twisting triangle, and half moon, with optional handstand. Core work includes bicycle crunches, leg-lift pulses, and forearm plank with leg lifts. The floor cooldown features bow pose, pigeon, butterfly (baddha konasana), seated forward fold, bridge with optional wheel, plow (Halasana), and a supported shoulder stand, before a supine twist and extended Savasana. The instructor repeatedly invites stillness as a meditative act, framing the practice as nourishment and presence rather than performance, with philosophical threads around balance, clarity, and inner peace woven throughout.
