About This Class
This class opens immediately in Downward Facing Dog and builds progressively through plank-to-down-dog transitions, knee-to-nose core work, and a full standing sequence on each side featuring Crescent Pose, Warrior Three, Warrior Two, Triangle, Twisting Triangle, and a half-moon twist variation. Locust and Cobra series develop back-body strength, while a handstand-prep weight-shift drills grip strength and shoulder stability. A balancing sequence — standing figure-four, one-legged chair, and prayer-leg balance — challenges hip mobility and proprioception. The "yang" portion closes with Chaturanga practice before giving way to a deliberate "yin" section: one-minute Pigeon holds on each side target the outer hips, followed by a supine spinal twist with hip-offset technique and Supta Baddha Konasana, culminating in Savasana. The instructor frames the class as a conversation between movement and stillness, consistently cueing steady breath, toned belly, and soft neck throughout.
