About This Class

This class opens supine with diaphragmatic breath awareness and gentle core engagement before moving through progressive Sun Salutation variations — baby cobra, full cobra, and Downward Dog — to warm the body. Standing sequences build through Crescent Moon, Warrior II, Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle, Triangle, and Half Moon, each side explored with deliberate hip-hugging cues and mindful transitions. Playful balance challenges in Downward Dog and Plank (one-handed, one-footed variations) add core and stability work without taking themselves too seriously. A Dolphin/Forearm Plank segment and threading-the-needle shoulder release bridge the standing work into a generous floor-based closing: seated forward folds, Pigeon on both sides with optional quad stretch, Baddha Konasana fold, Paschimottanasana, Happy Baby, wide-leg stretch, and supine twists. The instructor consistently frames every pose as an invitation — asking students to back off from extremes, listen to their bodies, and return to breath whenever the mind wanders. The practice closes with an extended Savasana and gratitude meditation, leaving students grounded, open, and at ease.

Relaxing class. Not without effort or challenge, but overall vibe is more chill. I did it on a Sunday morning to wake up a stiff body from a Saturday hike. It was perfect for that.
