About This Class
This class opens with a grounding child's pose and an extended focus on nasal breathing and breath depth before building into a rhythmic flow of Downward Facing Dog, Cobra, Plank, and arm-balance progressions. The sequence emulates walking — systematically moving through every range of motion in the body — and alternates between upper-body strength holds, hip-opening lunges (including pigeon-style floor stretches), twisting lunges, Crescent Lunge, and balancing lunge. Core work appears mid-class with leg-lowering and scissor-style abdominal exercises. The floor-based back-body series — including locust variations and bow pose — warms the posterior chain before a shoulder stand (referred to as the "king/queen of yoga poses") reverses gravitational load on the spine. The class closes with supine spinal twists, a knees-to-chest compression, and a guided relaxation (Savasana). Throughout, Bryan consistently cues moderation, breath freedom, and self-directed intensity, making the class accessible to a wide range of practitioners while still offering genuine challenge for those who want it.

While certainly with some challenges (a few push-ups, leg strength, and stamina), this truly is a well-rounded, smooth flow that’s very approachable and feels appropriate for me on days when I want something a bit less strenuous. Complete with classic BK guidance and humor.

very relaxing while also really tension in the major parts of our bodies, such as thighs, that doesn’t get a lot of dedicated attention. also, very motivating.
