About This Class
This energizing morning power flow opens with Child's Pose and a structured Maha breath (three-part segmented inhale) to anchor presence before moving into Ujjayi-guided Sun Salutations A. The class builds progressively through repeated Vinyasa cycles linking Downward Dog, Cobra, and Upward Dog, then adds layered standing sequences—Crescent Lunge, Warrior I, Warrior II, Extended Side Angle, Triangle, Warrior III, Half Moon, and Twisting Half Moon—each infused with hip-rotation cues and shoulder-opening variations including Garudasana-arm binds and Eagle Pose. Balancing challenges escalate through single-leg stands and transitions into Half Moon and Airplane. Core work is woven throughout via forearm plank, Dolphin, and knee-to-forehead movements. The class then descends into deep floor work: Virasana, Hanumanasana (full splits) on both sides, seated forward fold (Paschimottanasana), Navasana leg-lowering, supine twists, Bridge and Wheel Pose, Thread-the-Needle hip openers, Happy Baby, Plow, and Shoulder Stand, before closing in Savasana and a seated meditation. The instructor consistently frames effort around breath quality, inner stillness, and mental resilience, making mindfulness a structural element of the physical practice.
