About This Class
This dynamic flow class is built around the philosophy of "meditation in motion," inviting students to anchor their attention to the breath and treat each posture as a mindful, intentional act. Byron opens with child's pose and a grounding meditation before leading a progressive series of sun-salutation-style sequences that layer in Crescent Pose, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle, Triangle, Half Moon, and Warrior Three on both sides. Balancing transitions—including Chair Twist to Crescent Lunge Twist—challenge focus and proprioception. Standing flows are punctuated by core-focused bird-dog crunches, side plank variations, yogi push-ups, and a forearm plank "gratitude pose." The class builds to Crow Pose and a standing squat series before cooling down with seated forward folds, Butterfly, Plow, Shoulder Stand, Bridge, Wheel (optional), Happy Baby, supine wide-leg stretch, and a supine figure-four Pigeon with spinal twist, closing in Savasana. Throughout, Byron emphasizes non-attachment, energy conservation, and the distinction between sensation and pain, making this class equally accessible to newer practitioners and seasoned yogis seeking a mindful challenge.
