About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this vigorous power yoga flow with a philosophy-first approach: every physical pose is framed as a moving meditation, with deep, free breath treated as the true "meat and potatoes" of the class. The session opens in child's pose with extended breathwork to settle the mind, then builds methodically through cat/cow variations, cobra sequences, downward-facing dog, extended plank, and a series of one-armed balance and hip-opening explorations. Standing sequences include runner's lunge, crescent lunge, prayer twist, warrior balancing variations, airplane/Warrior III, and standing leg extensions with balance challenges Bryan playfully dubs "brucelyasana." Hip flexor and quad stretches, a toe-balancing pose with ankle opening, and a deep spinal twist on the floor are woven throughout. The class closes with a wide-legged seated forward fold, supine spinal twists, and an extended Savasana. Bryan consistently invites students to personalize every pose, rest whenever needed, and use the physical challenge as a training ground for calmness and self-awareness.
