About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a full-length, breath-first power yoga flow that begins on the back with supine hip openers, bridge, shoulder stand, and plow, then progresses through spread-leg forward bends and seated hip stretches before moving into a rhythmic sun-salutation-style sequence. The standing work features crescent lunge, warrior/hero pose, triangle, twisting triangle, half-moon-style side bends, and a series of balancing poses that combine quad stretches with shoulder openers. Upper-body strength is developed through multiple rounds of push-ups, plank, dolphin pose, and cobra, while the back body is systematically warmed through locust variations and bow pose. Deep pigeon-style low-lunge hip openers anchor both sides of the practice. Bryan consistently returns to breath synchronization and "going to a moderate degree" as the core philosophy, framing the poses as tools for cultivating calm, presence, and equanimity rather than physical achievement. The class closes with supine twists, a seated gratitude meditation, and an extended savasana.
