About This Class

In this 18-minute Meditation of Compassion, Bryan Kest guides students into a comfortable seated position — tall spine, soft shoulders, eyes closed — before anchoring attention on the triangular patch of skin between the nose tip and upper lip to quiet the mind. Once a degree of stillness is established, the session transitions into a compassion practice where students are invited to visualize suffering beings finding relief (a hungry person eating, a sick person healing, a captive set free), to envision the whole planet bathed in healing light, or simply to pray for the well-being of all beings. Bryan frames compassion explicitly as a trainable "muscle" that grows stronger with use, and encourages practitioners to send love and healing energy to anyone in their lives who is currently suffering. The class closes with traditional Metta-style aspirations — "May all beings be peaceful, harmonious, liberated from ignorance" — and a gentle, self-paced conclusion.
