About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this 72-minute dynamic flow with a philosophy of gentleness, breath freedom, and self-awareness at its core. The class opens in Child's Pose and Down Dog, establishing deep diaphragmatic breathing as the through-line for everything that follows. A six-movement Salutation A warm-up (with side bends and back bends) transitions into a standing balance series — Warriors, Crescent Lunge, and a three-legged Dog / Warrior III variant — that challenges lower-body strength while demanding calm. A floor sequence of Baby Cobra repetitions, Bow Pose, and a deep Locust variant heats the spine and opens the chest. The peak stretches are vertical splits progressions on both sides, carefully prepared by half-splits hamstring work and kneeling quad / twist combinations (including a half-frog and a kneeling quad-grab twist). Core work in a scissors/boat variation bridges the floor sequence to cooling twists — a grandma twist, a prayer twist in Crescent Lunge, a lunge twist, and finally a supine reclining twist on both sides. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and a long Savasana, explicitly framing benevolent mental qualities as essential to physical wellness. Throughout, Bryan encourages modification (fists instead of palms for wrist sensitivity, back knee down in lunges), emphasises that subtle sensation is sufficient for wellness, and cues softness in the neck and jaw as markers of appropriate effort.

Loved this unique kinda flow, little challenges along the way, but not too intense…. was so in tune with that half frog pose… that was new for me. Loved the forward bends too! Muchismas gracias for this Power Yoga community!
