About This Class
This lower body strength-focused flow builds functional power from the ground up, weaving together tabletop hamstring curls, low lunges, crescent pose with slow squat-like descents, chair pose heel raises, and single-leg balance work into Warrior Three. The instructor consistently cues outer hip firming, inner thigh engagement, and low belly activation as foundational principles across every pose. Bridge pose progressions — including single-leg variations with the free leg lowering to knee height — challenge the glutes and hamstrings under load. Sphinx and forearm plank transitions punctuate the floor work, with side plank variations that add outer hip and inner thigh demand. The class closes with a thorough cool-down: Happy Cow, Thread the Needle with a straight-leg hamstring stretch, a side-lying quad stretch, and a restful Supta Baddha Konasana. Steady breathing and mindful muscular engagement are emphasized throughout, making this a strength-building practice that is equally accessible and challenging.
