About This Class

Bryan Kest guides a sweeping 94-minute power flow that opens gently in child's pose and down dog before moving through a repeating wave structure: floor warm-ups (cobra push-up sequences, bow pose), hip-opening lunges with twists and quad stretches, an extended standing balance series (airplane, bent-knee balance, half-moon-style twists), and vertical splits carefully scaffolded by targeted hamstring and quad preparation. Five distinct backbends—cobra, bow, camel, bridge, and wheel (for those able)—are sequenced intentionally and followed by a full counter-pose series: plow, shoulder stand, supine twists, and a knees-to-chest release. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation emphasizing breath naturalness and cultivating benevolence. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as a sensuous, self-directed massage, repeatedly inviting practitioners to find their own "sweet degree," exit early, or modify freely. The philosophical thread—practicing letting go of small things so the big letting go (death, change) feels natural—runs through every cue and the final meditation.
