About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this full-length flow class under the explicit theme of "lengthening" — the idea that the body feels best when it is utterly decompressed. Beginning in Child's Pose with deep breathing and a mindful withdrawal from distraction, the class moves through two Sun Salutation sequences (Surya Namaskar A and B, with Utkatasana/Chair Pose added in the second round), Crescent Lunge holds with core twists and heart-openers, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle, Triangle-based twists, Dolphin Pose, Pada Hastasana (Foot-to-Hand Pose), and standing lateral stretches. The floor sequence features a deep Vajrasana/Hero exploration, Camel Pose (Ustrasana), half-frog hip openers, and a Lizard-style double pigeon progression with elbow-to-floor hip stretching and arm-reach side-body lengthening. The class closes with a supine core engagement, supine spinal twists (Supta Parivartanasana), and a full Savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently prioritizes breath quality over pose depth, inviting modifications and rest as needed, and frames the practice as personal investigation and self-discovery rather than performance.

Subtle and sweet flow, nothing too extreme. Enjoyed that half frog lengthening sequence! All so wonderful!
